Xi Andromedae (ξ And / ξ Andromedae) is a binary star in the constellation Andromeda. It also has the traditional name Adhil.

Xi Andromedae is a spectroscopic binary which is classified as an orange K-type giant with an apparent magnitude of +4.87. It has an orbital period of 17.77 days and is approximately 196 light years from the Earth.

Flamsteed was not designated "Bayer Cha." for his 46^th of Andromeda in his star catalogue and atlas. And he was erroneously designated "ξ" for his 49^th of Andromeda (Bayer's "A" And).
