short story collection "The Galloping Goat and Other Stories";The Witch Saga ; and a series of books, starting withThe Boys Start the War , about boys and girls pulling pranks on each other.The boys and girls are, Edith Ann (known as Eddie), Bethany (Beth), Caroline, and Peter, Wally, the twins, Jake ( the outgoing twin) and Josh (the quieter one).
She has received two
Edgar Award s in the Best Juvenile Mystery category, for "Night Cry" (1984) and "Bernie Magruder & the Bats in the Belfry" (2003). She has occasionally used thepseudonyms P.R.
