St. George's Bay

"This article is about the Bay St. George in Canada; for the bay in Beirut, Lebanon, see Saint George Bay." Bay St George is a large bay on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland comprising a sub-basin of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The bay measures approximately convert|64|km|mi|lk=on wide at its mouth, between Cape Anguille in the south, and Cape St. George in the north. Its northern shore measures approximately convert|60|km|mi|abbr=on in length from the head of the bay at Stephenville Crossing to Cape St. George, located at the western tip of the Port au Port Peninsula. The southern shore measures approximately convert|100|km|mi|abbr=on from Stephenville Crossing to Cape Anguille.
