Zomba District

Zomba is a district in the Southern Region of Malawi. The capital is Zomba, the 4th largest city in Malawi. The district covers an area of 2,580 km.² and has a population of 546,661.

Chancellor College, the largest college of the University of Malawi, is found in Zomba. The College has five faculties: Humanities, Science, Law, Social Sciences and Education. [ [http://www.chanco.unima.mw/ University of Malawi - Chancellor College ] ]

Malawi's colonial past can be seen in the presence of the Gymkhana Club.
