  • Native Americans in the United States – indigenous peoples living within the United States, equivalent in some instances to the term American Indian, but otherwise referring to:
    • Alaska Natives, including Eskimo-Aleut and Inupiat peoples
    • Native Hawaiians, indigenous natives of the islands of the present-day state of Hawaii
    • Taíno people, indigenous people of Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico; no formal governments or treaties with the US government.
    • Pacific Islander, including peoples in the U.S. Pacific Island dependencies (e.g. Chamorros, Marshallese), but also other Pacific nations
  • Aboriginal peoples in Canada – indigenous people of Canada, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis
