After the land was cleared, it was used for farming for most of the next 200 years until Sydney's suburban sprawl reached the town of Camden and modern suburbs like Camden South were subdivided into housing blocks.cite web | url = http://www.camdenhistory.org.au/chcamden.html |title= "The History of Camden" | publisher = Camden Historical Society | accessdate = 2008-03-20] cite web | url = http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/barani/themes/theme1.htm |title= "Aboriginal People and Place" | publisher = City of Sydney | accessdate = 2008-03-20]People
