Carleton Farms Landfill

The Carleton Farms Landfill is located in Sumpter Township of Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The landfill sits on convert|664|acre|km2 of property and has a solid waste boundary of convert|388|acre|km2. It is owned by Republic Services, Inc., and is about convert|30|mi|km west of Detroit. As of September, 2005, one million tons of waste is shipped from Toronto, Ontario in Canada to the Carleton Farms Landfill annually.
