It has facilities for carrying out maintenance for aircraft belonging to theRoyal Norwegian Air Force .Aviation has a long history at Kjeller.Kjeller is Norway's first airport, built in 1912. In the first part of the 20th century there was a small aircraft factory building military planes. There is now a small aircraft museum.
