The name Abby Normal is a play on words, much like in the 1974 film "
Young Frankenstein ", where [Igor] is sent to steal a particular brain from an organ bank settles for stealing one labeled "ABNORMAL - Do not use", and diffidently recalls it as being that of "Abby Normal".Musical career
In 1992, Normal became one of the founding members of
Maniac Spider Trash , alongsideWednesday 13 ,Sicko Zero and Michael Patrick. The band existed until 1996, when they disbanded to allow the formation of Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 (FDQ). He was with FDQ until 2001.In 2001, when FDQ disbanded, Normal took some time to record a solo effort, entitled "Midnight Creature Feature Picture Show".
In 2003, alongside other ex-FDQ members Seaweed and
Sicko Zero , Normal formed The Graveyard Boulevard.Discography
