John Glick

John Glick

John Glick (February 7, 1970 - July 14, 2005) was a songwriter, singer, and guitarist for the Chicago power pop band The Returnables, whose work has been praised by Ira Robbins of indie rock magazine Trouser Press. He appeared in Adam Goldberg's 2003 film "Running With The Bulls". Glick's dedication to music, and the notion of combining no-rules teen fun and true rebellion against oppressive "normalcy," made him popular - ironically - with all sorts of people.

He was killed in a car crash on July 14, 2005 when a Mustang driven by Jeanette Sliwinski plowed into a car he was in. Also killed in the crash were Douglas Meis of The Dials and Michael Dahlquist of Silkworm.
