URL =Adrian Olivares (born
1976 ) is a Mexican singer. Blonde and blue eyed, Adrian became, in 1990, the first non-Puerto Rican member of Menudo.Controversy rattled the group, as a drug arrest in
Miami International Airport against membersSergio Blass and Ruben Gomez and a sex scandal involvingEdgardo Diaz and former memberRalphy Rodriguez threatened the music group. Out of all the members of that Menudo line-up, 3 remained in the group after the drug bust and soon after that left Menudo to form another boy band with a different name, Adrian went back to Mexico City and months later was re-hired to join Menudo with new members from Texas, Venezuela, Santo Domingo and Miami, they toured and recorded several albums in both English and Spanish. Olivares retired from Menudo when he reached mandatory retirement age, at 18, in 1994. He started a reggae/rock band in Mexico, named "Maremotto " and toured the alternative rock scene, he co-wrote on albums like Molotov's debut "Donde jugaran las niñas" which won an international Grammy for "Best Latin Alternative Rock".Adrian is still producing and writing music, recent credits include 2007 international Grammy nomination for album "Individual" by artistFulano de Tal , also the original music score of the 2006 and 2007 MTV Video Music Awards for Latin America.
