Past and present

Egg Beaters was introduced in 1972 and was originally sold frozen. The refrigerated version of Egg Beaters did not appear until 1994. Egg Beaters originally had no yolk in its products in order to eliminate the cholesterol, which yolk contained. Egg Beaters is currently sold in stores in six different varieties in different size containers.

Egg Beaters offers a variety of products, which include:

**Available in 15 ounce and 30 ounce refrigerated containers, and 4 ounce refrigerated cups (3-pack).

*Southwestern - "Natural Flavor With A Southwestern Kick". This variation includes: red and green peppers, onions, and a mix of spices.

(All flavored varieties are available in 16 ounce and 32 ounce refrigerated containers)

It should be noted that all of the flavored varieties contain yolk.

Nutritional facts

The other Egg Beaters products contain different nutritional values. Egg Beaters Original has no fat and cholesterol and is low in calories. Egg Beaters With Yolk has 1.5 grams of fat, 50 mg of cholesterol, and 40 calories per serving.
