brucellosis is a contagious disease inpig s caused by thebacteria , "Brucella suis ". The disease spreads insemen during breeding and by ingesting, inhaling, oreye contact with bacteria inmilk , reproductive fluids,placenta , abortedfetus es andurine . The disease primarily occurs in adultpigs which show non-specificinfertility , abortion or lack ofsexual drive .Boar s can show signs oforchitis ,lameness ,arthritis ,abscess es and posteriorparalysis . There is no treatment for the disease and no effectivevaccine .
