Undrafted, Steven Reinprecht typically plays as centre and is known as a
power play specialist. He signed as a free agent with theLos Angeles Kings in2000 and was traded to theColorado Avalanche in 2001, where he helped the Avs win the 2001Stanley Cup . After being traded to theCalgary Flames , he missed the last 4 months of the 2003–04 season after surgery on his left shoulder. He played forASG Mulhouse in the Nationale 1 division of the French league during the 2004–05 NHL lockout, where he led the team in points, assists and tied-first in goals, before returning to the Flames for the2005–06 NHL season . The Flames traded him to thePhoenix Coyotes onFebruary 1 ,2006 , in a deal also involvingPhilippe Sauvé ,Mike Leclerc andBrian Boucher .Career statistics
