FindLaw.com is a free legal information
web portal owned byThomson Reuters . It was created by Stacy Stern,Martin Roscheisen and Tim Stanley in 1995, and after becoming the highest-trafficked law and government site on the Internet, was acquired byThomson West in 2001. It also includes a free legal magazine called "Writ", whose contributors (mostly legal academics) argue, explain and debate legal issues of topical interest.
FindLaw also offers website development and Internet advertising services for legal professionals and extended members of the legal community through their sister site, lawyermarketing.com.
