Mobility Email

Mobility Email

The Mobility Email client makes use of Mozilla Thunderbird code and aspects of the portable launcher code used in the now-defunct "Portable Thunderbird with Enigmail" (PTEG) maintained by John Urbanek.

The Mobility Email client is a secure mobile communication solution that runs from virtually any location on a computer, USB stick or iPod. It supports the S/MIME and OpenPGP signing and encryption standards, as well as the forthcoming DSA2 and SHA224 technologies, and is backward compatible with TIGER192. It allows users to lock their passwords, mail and account details with AES256 symmetrical encryption. It has pre-installed support for webmail accounts like Hotmail, Yahoo! and AOL. The Mobility Email client works on Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003 PCs and Linux machines through Winelib. The project is currently mature and has a production release. Its members include people from the Enigmail OpenPGP team, and there is a strong focus on reliable security.

Licenses

The Mobility Email client is free software. It is distributed under a free software licence, and the source code can be used, modified, and redistributed by anyone. Various components are released under the Mozilla Public License or GNU General Public License.
