Eric Revis (born
May 31 ,1967 ,Los Angeles ,California ,USA ) is ajazz bassist andcomposer . Revis came to prominence as a jazz bassist playing with the legendaryBetty Carter in the mid-1990's and since 1997 has been a solid member ofBranford Marsalis ' ensemble. In 2004 he released his debut album as a leader calledTales of the Stuttering Mime .Revis studied under
Ellis Marsalis at the University of New Orleans. Currently, he is in charge of the Jazz Ensemble at Trinity University, inSan Antonio Texas.Discography
