Rebuilt and renamed
Sandwell and Dudley is a railway station on the West Coast Main Line, situated between Oldbury and West Bromwich, West Midlands, England.
It was originally named Oldbury and Bromford Lane. However, in the 1980s it was rebuilt as a railway station designed to serve the metropolitan boroughs of Sandwell and Dudley with a new name to suit. It was equipped with longer platforms capable of handling long-distance trains.
The station today is operated by London Midland, which runs the local services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton on behalf of Centro. Longer-distance services are Virgin Trains' London Euston-Wolverhampton services, and London Midland's Birmingham New Street-Liverpool Lime Street services.
Both platforms have lifts, making the station fully accessible to people in wheelchairs.
