"ET Canada" is hosted by longtime Global Ontario entertainment reporter Cheryl Hickey. Reporters associated with the program include Rosey Edeh (formerly of CNN and MSNBC), Roz Weston (formerly of Toronto 1's "The A-List"), Rick Campanelli (formerly of MuchMusic), Kim D'Eon (formerly of "" & "Street Cents"), Erin Cebula, Natasha Gargiulo and broadcast journalist/actress Olivia Cheng (formerly of Global Edmonton, Global BC, and the Edmonton Journal). The show's senior executive producer is Zev Shalev.

As of January 27, 2006, "ET Canada" celebrated its 100th episode claiming to be the "Most Watched Entertainment News Program in Canada", suggesting it has quickly overcome the longstanding "eTalk Daily" as Canada's 'number one entertainment news program'. The show was nominated for a Gemini award in the best general interest series category in 2006.

If ET Canada airs a scene from a program on a competing network, that network's logo is blurred out; If it is a scene from a program that's from a network in the USA, that network's logo is kept in, since Global normally hijacks from American networks to begin with for its shows.
