- Mini Ellipse
-
The Mini Ellipse is a miniature radio-controlled glider designed by professional RC pilot Jaro Muller and distributed by Euromodell.
The almost ready-to-fly model features a hollow moulded fiberglass / foam / fiberglass sandwich wing skin with carbon fiber spars added for strength and a one-piece V-tail. Hardware is included but the modeler must provide the radio system of his/her choice. Wingspan is 58" (1.47m).
A seven-channel radio system is recommended, but the Mini Ellipse will operate on as few as four channels. Ballast can be added to gain more speed with the disadvantage of more weight.
The model can be bought as an electrical-version, too. The wings and V-tail are the same, the fuselage has the place for electrical motors. Model-weight for electrical versions is about 800 gramms, with state-of-the-art motorisation (brushless) and power-sources (LiPo) the mini-ellipse is a little hotliner.
