Edrissa Sonko (born March 23, 1980 in Essau) is a Gambian football midfielder currently playing for Tranmere Rovers.

Football career

In July 2007, Sonko signed for Football League One side Walsall. He was released the following summer.

On July 9, 2008, Sonko signed a 1 year deal with Tranmere Rovers. His previous clubs are Real De Banjul, Anderlecht, Roda JC, Walsall and Skoda Xanthi. He has played 14 international matches and scored 7 goals for The Gambia.

He netted his first Tranmere goal in the win at home to Accrington Stanley in the Johnstones paint trophy in Septemer 2008.His first league goal followed just over a week later away at Huddersfield, he scored a long range volley in the 2-1 Tranmere win.
