"Giustino" (or "Justin") is an
opera in three acts byGeorge Frideric Handel . The Italian-languagelibretto was adapted fromPietro Pariati 's "Giustino", afterNicolo Beregan 's "Il Giustino ".Performance history
The opera was first given at the
Covent Garden Theatre inLondon on16 February 1737 and on 8 further occasions. It was also performed in Brunswick in August1741 . The first modern performance was in Abingdon on21 April 1963 .
