Paul Conneally (born 1959 in the
United Kingdom ) is aHaiku poet and artist based inLoughborough , UK. He is the artistic director of the Haikumania Project atVirginia Tech .Known for 'ren' or 'linking' works based on Japanese
renga , his works have been widely published and translated.Conneally is associated with the modern Situationist movement through
psychogeography , social intervention and literarydetournement , both alone and in collaboration with others.Working with schools and communities all over the UK, Conneally encourages them to make poetry.
Increasingly his work sees him working in more diverse artistic forms alongside other artists to make collaborative and solo works in the visual and performance fields as well as texts.
He is associated with UK arts organisation, Charnwood Arts [http://www.charnwoodarts.com/index.php] which is a registered charity based in the East Midlands.
Paul Conneally is the editor of various poetry journal columns, including "World Haiku Review".
