Ian Prowse

Ian Prowse is a singer/songwriter who has been in a number of bands.

Pele were formed on Merseyside in 1990 with keyboard player Andrew Roberts.

He formed Amsterdam in 1999, who had their first UK top 40 single with "The Journey" in February 2005 .

Their albums include Attitunes (Jan 2001), Live left and uncovered (Dec 2001), The Curse (Oct 2002), The Journey (June 2005) and Arm in Arm (March 2008)

Amsterdam also appeared on the compilation album 'Mersey Boys and Liverpool Girls' with their song 'And It Hurts' and have appeared backing Elvis Costello on the Jonathan Ross show.

Their hit 'Does This Train Stop On Merseyside' was proclaimed by John Peel to be his second favourite song after 'Teenage Kicks' and that it moved him literally to tears.
