Maruán Soto Antaki is a Mexican film director.

Antaki was born in Mexico City, México, on December 21, 1976. He studied film making at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematogáfica (Cinematographic Training Centre, or CCC), in Mexico City. He lives in Mexico City where he directs and produces films through his own production company.

Filmography

Antaki has directed and produced several short films, documentaries, and TV commercials. The most notable are:

*"Zena", 2003. Director. Short film
*"Fatima", 2002. Director. Documentary about inter-ethnic marriage. Shot in Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey.
*"Borrando la Memoria", 2001. Director. Short film

Ancestry

Maruán Soto Antaki is the son of Mexican writer Ikram Antaki, and great-grandson of the last Governor of Antioch, who is recognized for saving the life of thousands of Armenians during the 1915 Armenian Genocide at the beginning of 20th century.Fact|date=June 2007
