- Gilbert Chu
Gilbert Chu (Chinese: ) is an American Professor of
Biochemistry andMedicine atStanford University .He received a B.A. in
Physics fromPrinceton University in 1967, a Ph.D in Physics fromM.I.T. in 1973. a M.D fromHarvard Medical School in 1980. He joined the Stanford faculty in 1987 as Professor of Biochemistry, and as a practicing physician in the Division ofOncology at theStanford Medical School . His research has involved how cells react toDNA damage fromradiation . His research incancer treatment has involved developingelectroporation techniques to use withmicroarray s to study transcriptional responses toDNA damage in cancer patients. He was one of three developers of instrumentation and mathematical programs for
data analysis .
