Mikuláš of Kadaň

Mikuláš of Kadaň

Mikuláš of Kadaň (Czech: Mikuláš z Kadaně) was an Imperial clockmaker who designed the clock machine of Prague Orloj together with Jan Šindel around 1410 (the Emperor at that time was Wenceslas IV). The Orloj was modified by Master Hanuš who was mistaken to be the creator of the clock according to the legend recorded by Alois Jirásek.
