Scratchbox is a cross compilation toolkit designed to make embedded
Linux application development easier. It also provides a full set of tools to integrate andcross compile an entireLinux distribution .The project has been initially developed by
Movial and sponsored byNokia . It is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL ).Scratchbox already operates in more than just
Maemo development platform (Nokia 770,N800 , andN810 Internet Tablets), for which it has been originally built. The toolkit supportsARM architecture andx86 , targets likePowerPC andMIPS architecture works under experimental level. Primarily built forDebian support, Scratchbox is successfully moving towards other distributions.External links
