The Wicked One

The Wicked One is referred to by the apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians. (2:1-12) as a mysterious figure who would be opposed to Christ. In Paul's second letter to the church at Thessalonica he writes to the people, "do not let anyone deceive you in any way. For the Day [Day of the Lord] will not come until the final Rebellion takes place and the Wicked One appears, who is destined to hell".

Some denominations in Christianity believe the Wicked One refers to the Anti-Christ.
