San Jose, California broadcasts on analog channel 65 and digital channel 41, serving theSan Francisco Bay Area.It signed on in 1986 as KLXV-TV (roman numeral for 65) and was the local affiliate of the
Trinity Broadcasting Network . In August, 1997, KLXV's call letters were changed to KKPX after Bud Paxson bought the station. It is now an owned and operated affiliate of theION Television network, formerly known as Pax and i.News Operations
From 2000 until 2005, KKPX along with many PAX stations signed an agreement with NBC and aired a re-broadcast of then ABC/WB affiliate
KNTV , now an NBC O&O at 7 PM and 11:30 PM. The newscasts were originally titled, "NewsChannel 11 on PAX", when KNTV became NBC in January 2002, the newscasts changed to "NBC 3/11 News on PAX" This distinciton ended in 2005 afterNBC Universal decided to part ways with PAX/i.Digital Television
