songwriter andguitarist . He was a member ofWailers Band and played on several albums in the early and mid-1970s. He later left the group to joinPeter Tosh . Some notable guitar work was done on 1975'sBob Marley & The Wailers Live!, recorded inLondon . Al started his music career as guitar technician for Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band where he learned his slide guitar techniques. Al joined Bob Marley before theNatty Dread album (at the same time as keyboardistTyrone Downie ) and has recorded 14 albums with the Wailers.Al Anderson toured with Bob Marley and the Wailers extensively, including:
