"Stand Up" is a song by Ludacris, released as a single in 2003, and taken from his fourth album "Chicken-n-Beer". It was Ludacris' first #1 single, with production by Kanye West.

The chorus consists of three repetitions of Ludacris rapping "When I move you move" and Shawnna responding "Just like that". After three repetitions, Ludacris says "Hell yeah, hey, DJ, bring that back" Then Shawnna says "When I move you move" and Ludacris says "Just like that" and they trade parts of the chorus.

Kanye West has stated that he wrote the first two lines of Ludacris' first verse ("How you ain't gonna fuck/Bitch, I'm me/I'm the god damn reason you in VIP"). A remix version was also recorded, in which Ludacris' third verse was removed and replaced with a verse from Kanye West. The remix appeared on the "Akademiks: JeaniusLevelMusikKanye West Vol. 2" mixtape.

It topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of December 6, 2003. Ludacris went on to be nominated for a Grammy in Best Rap Solo Performance.

A music video was made for the song, directed by Dave Meyers. Film critic Armond White called the video a "masterpiece" that "conveys the urge of life." The music video includes several moments of surreal imagery. In one notable scene, Ludacris meets a young groupie. She appears more than delighted with her new catch. Viewers may ascertain that she is from out of town and thus unaware of the threat posed by the giant chicken she is eating. She attempts to initiate a passionate kiss but the make-out session is interrupted when her butt starts growing like crazy. The song`s Producer Kanye west makes a short cameo so does Ludacris`s DTP label mates and comedian Katt williams. [ [http://www.nypress.com/16/44/film/film2.cfm] ]

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine covered the song as a Lounge style version on his 2004 album "I'd Like a Virgin".

Ludacris also made a remix of the song for the Atlanta Falcons.
