U.S. Attorney for the Districts of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands

The United States District Court for the District of Guam is the Federal district court whose jurisdiction is the Territory of Guam.

The United States District Court for the Northern Mariana Islandsis the Federal district court whose jurisdiction is the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Its jurisdiction encompasses the main islands of Saipan, Tinian and Rota as well as the mostly uninhabited “Northern Islands” of the Commonwealth.

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Guam represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court within the Territory of Guam.

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of the Northern Mariana Islands represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court within the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

Although, the Territory of Guam and the CNMI are separate federal districts and political entities, one United States Attorney is appointed to serve both districts. This situation is unique within the entire United States.
