On 2008, the Captains advanced to the league's "Super 6" semifinals. On
June 11 ,2008 , one of their games was cancelled based on allegations that one of the team's players was activated fraudently. The league noted that if this was the case, all of Arecibo's games during this phase would be confiscated, eliminating the team from competition.
