Ål in 1877. The area ofDagali was transferred fromUvdal to Hol in 1944.The name
The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old farm Hol (Norse "Hóll"), since the first church was built here. The name is identical with the word "hóll" m 'round (and isolated) hill'.

Hol Bygdemuseum , along the road fromÅl toGeilo in the small village ofHagafoss . The museum is built as an old farm, — "holingsgard", with buildings of the local type. A total of 17 buildings. Two of them, Nestegardsstugu and Raunsgardsstugu, have decorative paintings on the walls.Dagali Museum , in the middle ofDagali , on the brink ofHardangervidda . A museum with 10 buildings. The oldest building dates back to 18th century, and they come fromDagali ,Skurdalen ,Tunhovd andUvdal .What to do

At the airport, you can engage in the following summer activities:go carts ,paintballing ,white water rafting ,rallying , off-road rallying,rapelling and more.Dagali also offers winter activities, likepaintballing , ice/snow rallying, and snow mobile racing.
