Abakan ( _ru. Абака́н; Khakass: Ағбан) is the capital city of the Republic of Khakassia in
Russia , in SouthSiberia . It is located in the central part ofMinusinsk Depression , at the confluence of the Yenisei andAbakan River s, at approximately the samelatitude asHamburg andMinsk . In the late eighteenth and during the nineteenth century, Lithuanian participants in the 1794, 1830-1831, and 1863 rebellions against the Russian
