- Pinner reaction
The Pinner reaction (after
Adolf Pinner ) is anorganic reaction of anitrile with analcohol underacid catalysis for instancehydrochloric acid . The product formed is the hydrochloric acid salt of animino ester or analkyl imidate , which sometimes is called a Pinner salt. The reaction is a sequence ofnucleophilic addition s. [cite journal
