Sarah Trevis is an English Casting Director and member of the Casting Directors' Guild.[1]Born in Birmingham, she was educated at King Edward VI Camp Hill and the University of Manchester where she read Drama.
Working initially for the Royal National Theatre and Granada Television, she then worked on documentaries produced for Channel 4, Discovery Channel and WGBH and Arts and Entertainment in New York, becoming Head of Production in 1989 for Fulmar TV & Film in London.
From 1992 until 2004 she worked as a Casting Director alongside Mary Selway at Twickenham Film Studios.
Notable credits include Shallow Grave (1993),[2] Black Beauty (1994),[3] The Ghost and the Darkness with Mary Selway (1996),[4] Flight of the Phoenix (2003)[5] and the series Larkrise to Candleford (2007) for the BBC.[6]
Since 2010 she has been Industry Consultant for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (L.A.M.D.A.) in London.[7]
She was formerly married to the actor, Dougray Scott. She is the sister of Di Trevis, English Theatre Director.[8]
