Sara Blædel (born August 6, 1964) is a Danish author and journalist best known for her murder mysteries featuring Louise Rick.[1]
She was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Hvalsø. After working as a waitress at age 18, she went on to train in graphic arts and publishing. She worked as the graphic coordinator at Denmark's Gyldendal publishing house.
Blædel founded the "Sara B" mystery publishing company in 1993, and in 1995 she started work as a journalist. She has been working in television since 2001 as a researcher, project manager, and editor for various programs.[2][3]
Her first novel was Green Dust (Grønt støv), published in Danish in 2004.[4] Her first murder mystery published in English is Call Me Princess (Kald mig Prinsesse, Pegasus, 2011).[5]
