Periyasamy Chandrasekaran (16 April 1957 – 1 January 2010) was a Sri Lankan politician. He was a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and a government minister.

He was born in Talawakelle on 16 April 1957. Educated at Highlands College in Hatton, Chandrasekaran entered politics in 1982, when he was elected to the Lindula Urban Council. He was arrested in 1993 under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. In 1994, he formed the Up-Country People's Front (UPF), using it as a platform to be elected to Parliament that same year. He was appointed the Minister of Infrastructure Development in 2001. In 2004, Chandrasekaran was re-elected to parliament with 42,582 votes.[1]

Chandrasekaran died of a heart attack on 1 January 2010, aged 52.[2] His death occurred in Colombo. He was be buried on January 4 with full state honors in Talawakelle.[1]
