Oxenford Farm was a parish farm, with Gothic revival buildings designed by Augustus Pugin.[1]
Contents
History
Richard de Aquila granted Oxenford to Waverley Abbey, before 1147. It was a Cistercian monastery farming for Waverley Abbey, until 1536. It was granted to Sir William Fitz William during the Dissolution of the Monasteries, when it was valued at £4 13s. 4d.[2]
The buildings are in the Peper Harow park.[3][4]
Popular culture
The farm was a location for Robin Hood (2010 film).[5]
