Øverød is a neighborhood in Holte in the Copenhagen Metropolitan area. The district belongs to Rudersdal Municipality and is situated east of Via Regia and Rude Forest and north of Lake Søllerød. Øverød was originally an ancient village with its own city festival, but today Øverød is agglomerated with Holte, and these two areas have a total population of around 10,300 inhabitants (2008). The geographic separation between Holte and Øverød goes in a line north to south from Lake Søllerød's west bank to Rude Forest's east side.

From Øverød it is approximately 20 kilometer to Copenhagen's city center.
