The Otto Hahn Medal (German: Otto-Hahn-Medaille) is awarded by the Max Planck Society to young scientists and researchers in both the natural and social sciences. The prestigious award takes its name from the German chemist and Nobel Prize laureate Otto Hahn, who served as the first president of the Max Planck Society from 1948 to 1960.

The medal is awarded annually in recognition of outstanding scientific achievement to junior scientists. Medalists are recognized in three thematized sections: Biological-Medical section, Chemical-Physical-Engineering section, and Social Science-Humanities section. From 1978 to 2008, a total of 711 young scientists have received the Otto Hahn Medal. It is awarded annually at a ceremony taking place in Germany and is accompanied by a monetary award.
