During his amateur career Óscar won a bronze medal at the 2007 National Olympic Championships in the Featherweight division.[3]
Professional career
In April of 2010, Cortés beat Jorge Hernandez in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.[4]
In his next fight will be on the undercard Saúl Álvarez vs. Ryan Rhodes.[5]
