Ormond Wilson

(George Hamish) Ormond Wilson CMG (18 November 1907 - 17 April 1988) was a New Zealand Member of Parliament, author and Chairman of the Historic Places Trust.

Member of Parliament

Ormond Wilson represented the Rangitikei electorate (1935–38) and the Palmerston North electorate (1946–49) in the New Zealand House of Representatives (see Wilson & Wood). He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977 for services to the community (Taylor, p. 397).

Wilson was Chairman of the Historic Places Trust 1958-70, Chairman Board of Trustees National Gallery and Museum 1975-79 and published "An Outsider Looks Back...Reflections on Experience" in 1982.
