Oregon State University Humans vs. Zombies

Humans vs. Zombies has been played every year at Oregon State University since 2008.[1][2][3] The game is coordinated by the student group OSU HVZ that runs the website where the participants have to record all interactions.[4]

The first demo of the game was played only in Wilson Hall in 2008.[4] The first campus wide game in fall term of 2009 had about 140 players and participation has grown rapidly since then.[5] Some games have had more than one thousand participants. OSU was the first university in Oregon to host the game[6] and from there it spread to Western Oregon University.[7]

Games are run twice a year and take about a month of planning to arrange.[8] Campus police are consulted in the process.[9]
