Ribbon of the Order of Honour

The Order of Honour (Russian: Орден Почёта Orden Počёta) is a state order which was founded by the President's Decree of the Russian Federation of №442 of 2 March 1994.[1] The Order of Honour is awarded to citizens for high achievements in government, economic production, scientific research, sociocultural, public and charitable activities which essentially made it possible to improve conditions of life in the country, for merits in training highly skilled personnel, training the growing up generation, and the maintenance of legality and law. The Order of Honour is worn on the left side of the chest; when other orders of the Russian Federation are present, it is located after orders awarded for military merits.

Appearance of the medal

The medal is made of silver with enamel. Its shape is an octagonal cross, with a round locket in the centre, covered with white enamel, with the volumetric image of the state coat of arms of the Russian Federation, surrounded by laurel garland.

  • Diameter of the sign of order: 42 mm. On the back side of the medal, you can see the number of the medal. The medal is connected to a dark blue ribbon with a white longitudinal strip.
  • Width of belt: 24 mm
  • Width of white strip: 2.5 mm.
  • The white strip is located 5 mm from the right edge of the ribbon.
