Kody Nielson (born Carl Kody Nielson 9 May 1982) is a producer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Nielson studied painting and design at Elam School of Fine Arts before his band The Mint Chicks were signed to Flying Nun Records in 2003. He has contributed to the production and writing of many New Zealand records including Jon Toogood of Shihad's solo project The Adults, King Kapisi's "Super Human," and the Finn Brothers tribute album "He Will Have His Way." He has co-written the tracks "Devil On Tambourine", "Tiny Little Piece Of My Heart" and wrote "Darkness All Around Us" for Bic Runga.
