The Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA) is an organization formed by Red Hat and IBM to promote KVM as an alternative to VMware's virtualization platform. Since its formation, five other organizations have joined the OVA, including Intel, Hewlett-Packard, BMC Software, Eucalyptus, and SUSE Linux.[1] The OVA may also enhance consistency across KVM implementations.[2]
