The Open Share Icon computer icon designed to help users easily identify shareable content. Introduced by Shareaholic and hence also often referred to as the "Shareaholic Icon", this icon is available for use by others under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. Users must include clear attribution and a hyperlink back to the project and should make sure to read and understand the Usage Guidelines of the icon in its entirety.[1]

Design Notes
The Open Share icon conveys the act of sharing by visually representing one hand passing an object to another hand, as in "pass it on" or "sharing". The icon also represents an "eye", as in "look at this".
Project Support
The Open Share Icon is supported by - Ken Rossi (creator of the widely used OPML icons), Bruce McKenzie (GeoTag icons), and is used by hundreds of websites and applications including SmugMug (over 2 million users [2]), NetworkWorld, Shareaholic (over 2,000,000 downloads [3]), the Mozilla Add-ons Directory[4], Wikia, Weather Underground, Princeton University, and Google.
